Our History
1934
Cinfed Credit Union was founded when nine federal employees gathered to organize the Cincinnati Federation of Federal Employees Credit Union, Inc. Originally, a credit union for members of the Local #75 Federation of Federal Employees Union.
1937
Membership was expanded to include the families of credit union members.
1975
The credit union became a federally chartered credit union and the name changed to Cinfed Employees Federal Credit Union.
2013
Cinfed became a Community Chartered Federal Credit Union. Anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or regularly conducts business in Hamilton, Kenton, Campbell or Boone counties becomes eligible to join.
2017
Cinfed opened a new full-service branch in Oakley, Ohio, on Monday, April 3rd in the new Cinfed Headquarters building at 4801 Kennedy Avenue in the centrally located community of Oakley. A formal grand opening was held April 28.
2018
Cinfed receives federal approval to expand its community charter, opening membership eligibility to residents of 17 counties across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
2022
Cinfed opened a new branch on the eastside of Cincinnati on Monday, January 3rd at 4450 Eastgate Blvd #255 next to Jungle Jim's Eastgate.
2024
Cinfed expanded into Colerain Township, opening a new branch on Monday, July 24th at 3688 Springdale Road.
