Cinfed Announces Hardship Assistance For Storm Victims
Hurricane Helene and the subsequent severe storms left a path of destruction across the southeastern U.S. Many residents sustained damage to their homes and belongings, and need to pay for repair or replacement immediately.
To provide a helping hand, Cinfed Credit Union offers assistance for members located in states designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA): Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
For those who qualify, Cinfed offers an additional opportunity to skip a payment. Typically limited to one skipped payment per 12 months, the requirements will be waived for members facing the challenging circumstances brought by the hurricane.*
Members burdened by immediate recovery costs can contact Cinfed to discuss to their loan agreement. Cinfed will work one-on-one with those who have been affected to help them find financial solutions.
The goal is to provide immediate support for members impacted by the recent severe weather. Those affected should contact Cinfed by October 15, 2024.
