We want you to have access to a branch even when traveling, so we have joined the Co-Op Shared Branching net work.
Shared Branching is a national network of credit unions from all over the country that share facilities to give members thousands of convenient locations to perform transactions just as if they were at their home credit union.
Look for the Co-Op Shared Branching Logo (seen right) on the window of any credit union to perform any of the following transactions on your Cinfed account fee-free. All you need is your account number and a valid photo ID.
* Some transactions or products may not be available at all credit unions.
Hours of Operation:
Shared branching hours vary, but most credit union standard hours are:
Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Terms and Conditions of Shared Branching
Cinfed Credit Union has joined the Credit Union Service Corporation Network which handles Shared Branching for all credit unions throughout the country. All transactions are sent through the CUSC Network. By joining this common computerized transactional interface, Cinfed members along with non-members can conduct detailed, face-to-face transactions at any credit union around the country that belongs to this shared network.
Checks presented for cash may not be immediately available. Your receipt will show the date funds will be available.
Whenever the shared branching network is down, transactions can not be done.
Holiday closings will vary from credit union to credit union, but most will be closed only on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Opening and Closing Accounts
Please come to a Cinfed branch to close or open your Cinfed accounts. This service is unavailable at any Shared Branching location. To open an account with the Shared Branching participant you will need to qualify for membership, but we hope you will choose Cinfed.
Night Deposit Box
Since I.D. must be shown before any transactions are done, night deposit boxes are not available for shared branching transactions.
