Be Alert for Scammers
Scammers don’t take the holidays off – be alert for potential fraud as the new year begins!
Criminals have been using the phone for “spoofing” – that is, making your Caller ID look like Cinfed is on the line, then offering a bogus message about fraud involving your credit or debit card. The criminals’ goal is to get your personal identification number (PIN) so they can access your funds.
Remember: Cinfed will never contact you to request account information and will never ask you for your PIN. We only ask verification questions if a member contacts us.
Fraudsters can “spoof” Cinfed’s phone number on your Caller ID without gaining access to our network. Your accounts remain secure.
If you suspect fraudulent activity on your account, call the Cinfed Contact Center immediately at (513) 333-3800. If you suspect you may be a victim of fraud or a stolen card, please contact the appropriate department immediately:
